This is Audi’s new Q3, a baby SUV that’s set to challenge the BMW X1, Range Rover Evoque and forthcoming Mini Paceman, as well pinching potential Ford Kuga customers. Christie’s has pulled the ultra-rare 1939 Auto Union Type D grand prix car from auction this month. It had been expected to hit a new record of nearly £8 million. As reported previously, the Auto Union was attracting great interest because it is one of only two surviving examples from the late 1930s.
Given the array of new cars at motor shows, it's often difficult to pick one as the overall star of the show. While, in theory, there appears to have been a glut of new concept and production cars to choose from in Frankfurt, in reality there were less than a handful of marked standout designs.
